      The Rake is the commission fee taken by a poker room. There are different types of rake depending on the format of poker game being played. During ring games the percentage rake is taken by the dealer and based on the money being in the pot. In a live casino, the dealer manually removes chips from the pot at each betting round. When playing online, the rake is taken automatically by the game client (software). The rake is generally capped at $3 on each pot when playing online. The second type of rake is commonly called the "juice". It is a fee that players pay in order to participate to a poker tournament.
